Tips and Tricks to Help Welcome Spring into Your Home
After the time change moves the clocks forward in March, a whole new world seems to come with it. Longer days, warmer weather, and a sigh of relief that winter is finally over. As you begin to spend more and more time outside, coming back into your apartment may feel like you're entering a bear's cave. Everything has been slowly building up and hiding under the shadows of winter. You may get overwhelmed and not know what to do, but this blog will help you freshen up your apartment with a good spring clean!
Step One: Dust EVERYTHING.
Head to toe from vents and blinds, to bookshelves, and baseboards.
Step Two: Wash the windows
Clean those windows that have accumulated all those handprints from looking outside to see if it was still snowing.
Step Three: Clean out the closet
Bag up any unused clothing that you haven't worn in the last year, and donate it to a local thrift store. With the rest of your clothes, pack up any seasonal pieces that wont be worn and store them until next winter.
Step Four: Spruce up the bedding
To take it another step further, flip your mattress and fluff all of your cushions. While you're at it, put away all of your thick blankets and anything was needed for the winter. Replace it with lighter blankets and spring decorations to brighten up your space.
Step Five: Sanitize all surfaces
A good wipe down of your counters and a mop your floors! This will have your space feeling brand new.
Finally, to add the last touches to your apartment, upgrade any wax melts or wall plug ins from winter scents to lemon or fresh cut flowers to welcome Idaho's new season of spring!
